Shane Pokroy

Registered Psychotherapist | Philosopher

I offer a warm, supportive space for those seeking greater self-understanding, emotional clarity, and a more integrated way of living.

Drawing on depth psychology and lived experience, we gently explore the textures of your inner world — your thoughts, emotions, and patterns — with kindness, curiosity, and steady presence.

Whether you are navigating anxiety, relationships, life transitions, or simply longing to feel more at home in yourself, you are welcome here exactly as you are.

Meet Shane

I recorded this short video to give you a sense of who I am and the kind of space I create for clients. Many people have shared that watching it helped them feel a genuine sense of safety and connection before reaching out.

My hope is that this offers you a quiet window into my presence and approach. You are welcome exactly as you are.

A Space for Deeper Inquiry

In my own life and in my practice, I sit with the questions that shape who we become:

  • How do we meet our thoughts and emotions with greater kindness and steadiness?

  • How do we learn to hold suffering without being defined by it?

  • How do we build the inner capacity to live with more clarity, freedom, and integration?

My approach draws from psychology, mindfulness, and philosophical reflection. It is not about quick fixes, but about strengthening your own inner resources — developing deeper self-understanding, emotional resilience, and the grounded presence needed to live more fully and authentically.

Whether you are navigating anxiety, relationship patterns, life transitions, or simply feeling called toward greater self-mastery and aliveness, you are welcome here exactly as you are.

My Approach

I work with individuals and couples who want more than surface-level change. Together we create a steady, respectful space to explore your inner experience — your thoughts, emotions, patterns, and longings — with honesty and care.

For individuals, my approach draws from depth psychology, somatic awareness, mindfulness, and philosophical reflection. Rather than applying rigid techniques, I support you in strengthening your own inner resources: greater emotional resilience, clearer self-understanding, and the capacity to meet life with grounded presence and freedom.

For couples, we gently explore the relational patterns, communication dynamics, and emotional undercurrents that shape your connection — always with the aim of fostering deeper understanding, repair, and a more secure and alive bond between you.

This work is collaborative and unhurried. Sessions are a place where you can slow down, be fully seen, and develop the awareness and strength needed to live more authentically — whether as an individual or as a couple.

You do not need to have it all figured out before beginning. You only need a quiet willingness to look more deeply.

Ways We Can Work Together

I offer several ways to work together, depending on what feels most aligned with your current needs.

Individual Psychotherapy

A dedicated space for deeper self-understanding, emotional healing, and lasting inner growth. We work at a pace that honours your unique experience, strengthening your capacity for presence, resilience, and authentic living. Sessions are 50 minutes and available virtually across Ontario.

Couples Therapy
A supportive process to explore relational patterns, improve communication, repair ruptures, and cultivate a more secure, alive, and connected bond. We gently attend to the emotional undercurrents that shape your relationship.

All paths begin with a free 20-minute discovery call. This gives us both an unhurried opportunity to sense whether we feel like a good fit.

Getting Started

Taking the first step can feel meaningful. Whether you’re feeling stuck, curious, or simply ready for something different, reaching out is an act of courage and self-care.

I offer a free 20-minute discovery call so we can meet, sense how it feels to speak together, and explore whether this work feels right for you.

There is no pressure and no obligation. You are welcome exactly as you are.

Living Inquiry

"One of the quiet turnings in the inner life is the moment we stop trying to fix ourselves and begin to understand ourselves instead."
